Many Australian native plants have very waxy leaves to help keep moisture inside the plant in the long seriously hot periods they have to deal with. This shot was taken by my sister Bunny. I played with it to change the aspect ratio and I did some tone mapping in Oloneo and also in Oloneo is a tool where, after desaturating the image, you can add colour to the shadows and the light from different controls, thus emulating many of the classic dark room bw tone ranges. This is my own tonal selection. Thanks to Bunny for letting me steal her shot and play with it.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

I like the way the crystal clear water drops magnify the leaves beneath.
The colour choice combined with the 'tears' gives it an air of melancholy.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . A beautiful image, Mikel! Nice composition and pleasingly sharp focus. I like the soft light and intriguing, not quite B&W, colors. Great post-work and a fine photo.
