One section of an old rail bridge, now a pedestrian bridge, over the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia. HDR was Oloneo, other touches, The Gimp. My Pentax (Not the little Samsung.).

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS, been thinking about why this photo appeals to me structurally and I think it's the contrast between the simple squares of the bridge in the top third and the narrow angles made on the water by the light and the foam of the falling water. Perhaps also the way there is one long, powerful curve sandwiched between all those straight lines and hard angles.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . An interesting close up perspective, the workmanship in detail really stands out. I wish more bridges were re-purposed for foot traffic. Excellent color contrasts too.

Beautiful use of HDR. You have captured some super color and light in this shot. It is a fascinating structure as well as a pleasing combination of man made and nature together.

A very nice shot, Mikel, and I love your post-work. I like the colors, the sharp detail in the bridge, and the glossy shine. A wonderful image! Well done.
