Main drag of Klong Prao on Koh Chang one achingly slow night in the Rainy Season. Every light, except the car and the bike on the road, is a bar, a cafe, a food stall, a vendor of some description but all you will find is a man and his dog. All those shops hoping for customers, one guy walking his dog. If you've ever had bills piling up and no money coming in then you'll know how many empty feelings could be haunting this street. Plenty of detail in this at fullsize but I did want the blackness to be dominating so I paid more attention to the structure of what can be seen than the amount of it.

Thank you, Mikel, for not including a narrative that said, "Apo Fractal, originally a plastic script, altered by me until it produced these stuttered layering effect." Because when your narrative includes any of those phrases, you might at well be writing in Babylonian.
I understood everything you said except for "Klong Prao on Koh Chang". For the time being I'll ignore the geography lesson and head right into the image. You have captured this scene with complete perfection. "Slow Night" indeed. The guy in his swim trunks doesn't look like a big spender. Unless they have a big sale on dog food, I don't think the pooch is going to part with any of his heard earned change. Excellent use of the negative space. You are not afraid of the dark as evidenced by this most unusual posting.

Your image is like a mirror to me because it reflects in a perfect way another meaning of 'emptiness'.
