A very old Apo fractal that's been waiting in my folder for Halloween, but it's not a big holiday here in Australia so I keep forgetting to post it. Nailed it this year though. Supposed to be a big icky tick.

Shiver with delight.

Mikel.

Ticks and I don't get along, Mikel, not since I got Lyme Disease three times. Come to think of it, I never liked them ever! Your bug is an exception. The colors are perfect for the season and it does indeed look like what you said. lol

Hi, Mikel....

I live in an area which specializes in ticks and poison oak. We have summertime ticks which aren't very aggressive but are large. The smaller winter time ticks are very aggressive. None of them look as nice as your shot. When I moved from Illinois to California, I couldn't get over how popular Halloween is here. I went to the bank and the tellers were in costume. I went to the grocery store, and the checkers were dressed up. We used to have contests at work every year. Since I have a full beard and plenty of chest hair, I used to head to the thrift shop and buy a low cut dress. With my wife's help she added all of the makeup so that I looked like a bearded hairy hooker. The high heels were deadly. I won almost every year.

However, there were drawbacks. Rule #1 is to remember to wear underwear on a windy day. The worst thing that happened to me was when I lived in LA. I used to carpool and was picked up at one of the busiest intersections next to a bus stop. Unbeknownst to me my hilarious carpoolers drove past and didn't stop to pick me up. I sat out there dressed as a bearded woman for over a half hour. The people passing by in their cars somehow found the time to roll down their windows to yell profanities. Ha Ha ho ho and Hee hee. When I got to work, my carpoolers told me of their practical joke. I got 'em back by mixing cyanide in their coffee. Don't mess with a P.O.'s skitzo.
