I was delighted to read that in the next version of The Gimp the "iwarp" tool is being extensively developed. I use it a lot on my fractals and abstracts but it's a bit like hammering nails with a sledgehammer, hard to get any finesse. I can't wait to play with the finessed version. Here's something blue created with blend tools, blend modes and gradients and the iwarp tool in The Gimp.
