A pavilion in the sun on the edge of a lake in Chengdu's Wangjiang Tower Park, which I've posted from recenlty. Wangjiang Tower Park is a Tang Dynasty tower built in honour of a Poetess Xue Tao. The chinese Parks I've seen are pretty much the opposite of Australian City Parks. We tend to have wide open spaces dotted with occasional trees. The Chinese parks I enjoyed were full of winding paths leading to delightfully framed views - a slightly larger scale version of the famous walled garden style of China. I've got some shots of one of those also but it was a tough shoot, pouring down rain and me without a really fast lens or a tripod, so for the time being this shot here will do very nicely to capture the delight that can be a walk thru a Chinese Park.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS, yes it's off centred and no, I don't want to "fix" it. :)

I think being off centre makes this even more appealing as it draws in the greenery surrounding this pavilion. The slight haze in the back ground also adds to the mystique of this lovely place. Fav'd and thank you for sharing!
