Went to the botanical gardens today to see what kind of new flowers have come up in this early spring, and this was one of them. The details are amazing :-)

Really beautiful. Such sharp detail in the bloom contrasted to the subdued background and very nicely placed in the frame. A winner! It appears to be a pulsatilla, which is also called a Pasque Flower.
