A wonderful old mansion and you captured it very well, Nik. When I watch all those nice photos here at Caedes I feel like travelling to all that wonderful places. My last visit to Italy was in September 2004. It's a beautiful country that I will definitely visit again...
But back to your photo: very nice colors and lighting..the whole composition is just great.

Whats good about this pic is the colors and the location mostly. I feel like the sky is bit empty and some object are a bit distracting to the subjected mansion. I wonder if you have tried more angles in the same place. Maybe if you have gone pretty close to the gate and shot the mansion throught steel grills it might do more according to the theme.

Nice picture, but I think another angle, maybe where the sun would shine, would have been beter. Also, there is too little sky...a bit more would be nice

What a shame Nik - a beautiful mansion going to waste. Those boarded up windows immediately caught my eye, and those shutters are going to pieces. Hopefully, someone will step in before this goes to shambles. That red vine adds a happy color to a sad scene. You gave us a fine image, thanks :^>
