Here is my comment for what it's worth. Your title says umbrellas and that is partly true however the graphics I think you originally saw has become lost with the extras in the scene e.g. the background. The image has more a snapshot look than the arty theme you were hoping for. I very much like your idea for this and offer a couple of thoughts.
Firstly I would have taken this shot at some time when there were little or no people present. Not sure how that would happen tho at an obvious hot spot such as this. Maybe a night scene if the light was right or very early in the morning while guest are recuperating from the night before...
Secondly I would change the perspective to include just the umbrellas as after all that is what prompted the shot in the first place. Perhaps a low angle showing the crowns of the umbrellas? Sometimes just a few of the subject is better than the whole. Remember you have options.
Thirdly always try to compose your scene in camera. You will find your photos will turn out more representative of what drew you to the scene in the first place. Plus you won't have to crop down and increase grain and noise.
Sorry for being long winded but as I said I liked your idea for this shot and while I am certainly no expert, I do hope this helps you in your photographic pursuits.
