I made this wallpaper using Terragen. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to render. All comments and advice are greatly appreciated.

I'm not qualified to give advice on these I'm afraid, but it looks pretty good to me. Definitely resembles the Northern Lights!

I lived in Alaska for 23 years and saw a few of Aurora's. At first glance, looks great, but once you start looking at the detail, you see the 'flaws'. You don't see sun rays & clouds during a auroral event (they are only really visible at night).

way cool. I agree with the sunlight; then again, it might not be Earth, but some other planet. What's stranger, though, is the texture of the aurora. I get the feeling that I'm looking up into atmosphere from the bottom of a huge ocean of.... liquid nitrogen? water? very interesting.

All of the aurora's I seen have had more verticle lines. I don't know if there's other shapes, but yeah. It is beautiful though. Nice work.
