Very interesting concept and look. However I find it's not upto your usual standard of rendering (which is pretty high as far as I can tell). It seems to be a little jagged on a few parts. Other than that minor thing, I really do like this one!
"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
~ Henri Cartier-Bresson
The render looks good to me, but maybe that's a function of the smaller size (1024x768). I rather like this, though not as much as some of your other work. It is somehow less tidy, but it seems to want to be tidy. No idea what I mean by that.
I can't see it in terms of the title, but I'm tempted to want to see it as a wind buffeting a star, blowing the light and flares around. (I know this makes no scientific sense.) I like the light - it has a sense of spinning round and being blown here there and everywhere. I also like the very subtle colouration of parts of it . The main circle's interior is really nice. The way the layers work gives it a sense of depth and I especially like the concentrated four-pronged fan of intense light at the centre.
Not that bad... I actually like it. It's a bit unsaturated for my monitor, but I like how the spikes are hard and sharp and soft and fuzzy at the same time. no idea how you accomplished that. great.
Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I do not get to your pictures as soon as you post them, I apologize. I try. Also if I do not respond for awhile it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you, it just means I'm really tied up with life.
Thanks for sharing!
