Very nice capture, Nuno! It seems odd, to see it squeezed between the newer and more colorful structures. The history this old place of worship must have! Is the image a wee bit crooked? I can only imagine the beauty contained inside. Well done!

Nice photograph. It is slightly crooked. Other than that the old, weathered, and beautifully crafted building is quite a contrast to the stark and sterile looking newer buildings on either side. And, just look at those windows and the way the light plays off them; beautiful! The graffitti on the lower left side of the building is unfortunately a graphic reminder of the direction society seems to be going and fits in well with the newer buildings.
If I had my choice, I'd much rather see all the building resemble this beautiful old church - what a great structure! While the newer buildings do provide a stark contrast to this ancient architecture, to me it's almost a sad tribute to the vanishing wonders of the ancient world, almost a visual commentary on how wonderful such cities used to look. But I digress....nice pic!
