I shot this picture while on vacation in FL. I used a softer focus and got a really neat effect in the sun in return. Thoughts and suggestions as well as comments always welcome and appreciated.
The silhouettes are great, and the sunset is really.. velvety. =D
I know the birds force the composition here, but the low level of the horizon irrates the eye, somehow.
I won't let it bother me though, if this comes up in the booth, it's 8/10!

I think the above comment probably refers to the old "rule of thirds" principle (ie each element should occupy a portion of a third of the image). I must say I think it would me more pleasing if the horizon was a little higher, but I can also see that this would throw out the positioning of the pelicans and the sun.
