I'm not sure what kind of bloom this is but I liked the simplicity of this shot. This will be my entry to the contest. Comments welcomed and appreciated.

I like the color combination here. Deep pink or lavender with the greens in the background go well together. Very nice entry for the contest. Good luck with it.

To show this off, simpler is better.

Things are more like they are now than they ever were before.
A very delicate and beautiful subject. The central positioning almost invariably causes conflicts both in overall balance and viewing. This subject could possibly get away with it if it wasn't a bit dark for something with such delicate colors.
Cropping from the top to remove most of the darker out of focus flower in the upper right, and in from the left border, almost to the tiny leaf (lower left) will produce more impact, and the tiny leaf becomes more significant in the composition.
A little + gamma brightens it overall without affecting the subtle tones of the subject's top petals.
