Taken out of the old rubbish bin. This photo was taken years ago. I had experimented with it in photo shop back then and was never really sure of it. Might make an interesting image for current contest. Thoughts, comments and suggestions always appreciated.

Anytime you get a good shot of an egret, I would consider it a great success. That's because they always seem to be so elusive. I would try to brighten up the area around it's face, but other than that, it's very good.

You captured an elegance to a bird one would not think could be elegant like a swan. A wonderful shot and B/W was a great idea for this shot.

I'd also suggest cloning out that section of rocks right against his neck. Just the two small pieces. That tiny bit of separation will make a significant difference.

I agree with the suggestion to clone out the rocks. They steal the show from that beautiful neck curve at the moment. Well done.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I... I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.
