Took this up at my work, Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. This is my view out of our front door from the camp that I live/work at 2 weeks a month. We are a manmade island in the Beaufort Sea on the very top of the Great Big State of Alaska. It was approximately 40 below zero farenheit when this was taken. Enjoy everyone and stay warm, as spring has not yet sprung here!

Smashing light and the whole narrative put goose bumps all over me; that is cold! I notice though you cant escape the traffic cones even up there huh? Good post Pam, thanks and happy easter. Tommy

Click here to see WHITBY through the lens of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe! PS I have no commercial link but Sutcliffe's photographs are historical! and any photographer worth his salt should at least know the history of their subject. He is one of the reasons I consider myself lacking, by the way. TG

Very nice shot Pam! It reminded me of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow"!
Re the cold weather, I totally sympathize: I live in northwestern Ontario and have tasted bitter cold many a time! Minus 40 F, though, is quite something! I have rarely experienced that!

Does that mean "No man is an island unless he makes one?" I just love the lavendar coloring of the sunsets up your way. You do such a nice job of capturing. Now get back to work. lol
Very nice photo Pam.
