A caribou in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. This is just a close up of one of many in herd of hundreds. It truly is a sight to see them blanketing the tundra. They are quite fast as they migrate west, and very loud.
I bet that would be a sight to behold. I will look forward to seeing more shots of the herd. This is really good and it looks like there's still velvet on the antlers. That provides the nutrients for growth. Good photo Pam
What beautiful, soft antlers they have. I guess perhaps that's because it's spring? What I know about these animals could be fit in a teacup. Nice shot, however.
