This is a gorgeous shot of the summit of Mt McKinley or Denali "The Great One." It is the highest peak in North America - 20,320 ft (6194 meters)at the highest point. This shot was taken by a friend of mine (Elizabeth Lynch) who allowed me to post it here after some touch up since this was shot out of a airplane window as she flew past it. It's on my desktop right now, and is just gorgeous. The size of the mountain is just overwhelming. Hope you all enjoy!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

You and your friend have a winner here Pam. Was it taken recently? You were right when you said you were posting a good one. I don't have the words to describe just how beautiful this one is. I did fave it. I respect you for telling us your friend was the photographer. Speaks highly of your character. Great teamwork on this.

I sure would love to be on the top of Mt. McKinley, but I wouldn't want to do the climbing. I love this shot. It looks like the plane came really close, but I know it didn't. Very nice.

I'd rather be here, than where I'm at
