Came across this shot I took last December at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is a 1953 convertible Corvette. What I thought would strike a cord is the price of gas on the sign behind the car...man if only..... Times have definitely changed!

Your right Pam.
But in another 30 Years they'll be saying that 2008 was the good Old Days.
Funny how that works.
I remember pumpin gas when I was a kid at a near by station for 19.9 Cent a Gallon, and makin 35 cents an hour. Cash Of Course. LOL.
Cool Pic and Flashback.

Now that is a classic car ... I don't remember gas being 25 cents a gallon, but I do recall when I started driving it was as cheap as 75 cents a gallon. Then I thought that was outragiously high. Wonderful capture Pam.

Great post Pam. I used to have a good time on a date with five dollars. Even put gas in the auto. Now I couldn't get out of sight. Love the old corvette. True American Icon.

My father owned three of these in his time...a '55...a '64...and a '69...Wish I had the money for one (including gas)! Thanks for sharing...

A nice reminder of my youth, many, many years ago. I remember buying gas for 19.9 cents a gallon! Ah, memories of "gas wars." I was driving a company car and had to buy my own gas so I would coast downhill with the engine off to save money on gas. Cars didn't have power steering or brakes then.
