Taken from the outskirts of Fish Hoek, a small coastal town on South Africa's Cape Peninsula on one of those glorious winter days of sun and showers. If you look closely, you'll even see a rainbow over the distant headland.
Thanks for the feedback, Farmgirl, Foxfire, NMSmith - glad you like the shot. Jackie - yes, it WAS a wonderful experience. I'd just love to go back to South Africa in Springtime when all the protea (wild flowers) are in bloom. One day perhaps; one day!!
What a gorgeous photo. It does bring back great memories! I was born and grew up in South Africa and it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you for capturing a little bit of it for others to enjoy.
Hello Ann Marie....This lovely picture reminds me so much of the coast line here in Cornwall......The foreground certainly puts distance into this scene and the colours are just splendid....All the best....Mick.
Okay Anne-Marie let me try again, love this photo, great view of the ocean. It really reminds me of the great places to actually visit in South Africa and I'm stuck in the city of Johannesburg. Hope you really enjoyed it in South Africa. Great photo love the light rainbow. Great work!
Great colours from every object, but I'm surprised people think it has great clarity, because on my screen the whole picture looks blurred - sorry for the critism. I'm viewing the picture at 1280*1024 and it feels like it's been oversized. If you could go back and take it again to a superhigh clarity, it would be a picture worth having.
