Wow, I don't see many sunrises this colorful!!! Ok, truth is i don't see many sunrises period. I not a morning person!!! Very nice shot..... I can't imagine the devastation you left out of the shot.
Let's put it this way. You would not want me to pan down with the camer after a little more daylight came into play. And oh by the way, this is untouched by Photoshop other than some sharpening of the tree line. True color, baby!

Maybe Mother Nature was trying to make amends. At any rate you took great advantage of the beauty you saw. This is a truly outstanding sunrise photo. Into my favorites and on my desktop. Thanks for posting this.
'OUTSTANDING' Beautiful! and Awesome .Pat! I truly love this....You just know the way to my heart by showing this....I love em!
....I'm afaid I can only give you a ten for this!...
BuuuuuuT! I will store this in my 'Quality' file folder'!
Sorry for the dreadful experience you went through...as for this, it is quite a stunning display...it sometimes seems as if nature is at her most visually dramatic just before or after some traumatic event she has gone through, as in the glory of the autumn leaves just before dying or the beauty of a rainbow after a powerful storm...anyhow, a marvellous capture.:Pat.
Lovely colours and beautiful composition. Pity it had to follow such a desaster!!! But maybe a way He wants to tell us that whatever happens, He'll always be there for us! Good work, Pat. Well done!
Absolutely gorgeous - waking up to mornings such as those can make us all the more grateful for the little and yet completely immense things in our life. Beautiful shot. :) Absolutely beautiful. :)
Pat, Dwight here, i have been looking through you gallery, i love them all and they will get a ten in the booth. Thanks so much for posting all those beauties. Dwight.
Not until the creation and maintenance of decent conditions of life for all men are recognized and accepted as a common obligation of all men . . . shall we . . . be able to speak of mankind as civilized.

Wow! I was about to leave a post telling you not to go so heavy with the post processing - but then I read the comment above where you said you only sharpened it!! Wow, that must have been quite a sight to see in person!

Hello Pat....You have captured the beauty of a very colourful sunset and made a stunning photo....Even the most spectacular sunset will look like abstract wallpaper if you don't provide some context, but you have added silhouetted trees in the foreground to give a sense of scale and location to the scene....Pat I like to photograph sunset/sunrises every few minutes or so. Clouds move, colours deepen and change, and the image you captured a 15 minutes later may have more drama and richer colors than you saw earlier....Yes Pat ....This picture has top marks from me.....All the best....Mick.
