:) on the mildewed screens...guess you and I are used to it with all of our humidity ;) This is a lovely composed scene Pat and the colors and stunning. The spindled trees can make you cross-eyed if you look in the distance too long. Glad you made the 17-mile tour and shared this beauty with us. Anita
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Beautiful capture of this spindly stand of trees Pat. I've often seen similar groupings at times up here. Always wondered what causes the lack of growth on the lower parts of the trees. Seemed strange only the upper parts show growth. Whatever ... it's a very pleasing image to look at. (Tsk tsk! ... who on earth would complain about a little mildew ... the NERVE of some ingrates)
There's nowt wrong with this at all love!...In fact it's a beauty!...John~ lack of growth in lower parts is because sunlight is restricted there!.....Pat...I hope you managed to fill your cards up./....I can take any amount of these?
Look at how straight and tall these beauties are!! Wonderful composition and a very strong image, Pat ... thanks for making the trip up there; this is really lovely!! And, ahem - I'm not mildewy here - don't stop on the rain shots IMHO, or any other type. LA is OK, too!!

See? I solved the problem with the mildew thing. I have one computer that I view your pics on and the rest of the group has a separate unit :) *pats myself on the back* Good thinking, huh? Seriousy, nice post and I love the height these trees have reached trying to capture the sun's rays while still leaving room for some of the more colorful trees and grasses to grown underneath them..If you were to go into a pine forest here in NH, you'd only see pine needles on the ground and no other growth whatsoever..maybe someday I'll get to post a pic of that. But your pines are still just as straight and grow in the same type of formation as the ones up here (*EDIT or perhaps it's because they were grown in a preserve in this upload) ..I always thought that someone had planted them that way, but I have had to assume over the time I've observed a various number of pine stands that it must be a natural phenomena ...very nice, dry pic..lol :)PJ
I am so glad that you found your own Fall colors to enjoy instead of having to see them in Jerrys posts. The colors are so pretty here. I know you were just tickled pink at seeing this. Glad you shared your little slice of heaven with us Pat.
Please forgive me for not replying to every one of your lovely image and comments probleme with me is my poor english my language in french Rene de Rouyn-noranda
Ah, you've still got some fall colors too. The foreground grasses with their textures and subtle colors are really very pretty with the tall, thin trees and the scattered bold colors of the smaller trees. Very lovely, Pat.

Due to FALL being my busiest season at my store...I rarely am able to view & comment. Someday I will catch up. PLEASE...if there is a particular work that you really want me to view, pm and I will make it a priority! Thanks so much!
I'm a SW La. (Lake Charles, actually Sulphur) girl myself. I went camping in Kisatchie with my Dad when I was a kid. I like the way the tree trunks look in this picture. Very nice shot.
This is really ironic. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time it's happened. When I go to comment on these pictures, to my suprise it's you again. You are truly an amazing photographer.
