I suppose most of you will think that I made it the 2 miles back up the road to my favorite sunset shooting site in time to capture the best part of it. I did not. I fooled around so much shooting the clouds see here on the east side of the road that I missed the most colorful part of the sunset. Shown here is the first shot I got upon arriving to my favorite spot. Still beautiful I think. A couple more captures will follow.
It might not be what YOU were going after, but you still did not disappoint. Stunning colors and a grand capture....Looking mighty fine on my DT. Also love the trees in the foreground...really adds some mystery and a lot of depth to this beautiful scene.
... but those clouds were sensational, and it looks like it was worth the wait because this is a sensationally gorgeous sunset. I love the shimmering sun path across the water...

You have outdone yourself with this one Pat! Momma mia! Sell this to Microsoft for their Windows 7 desktop. It is magnificent with all this colour, the clouds and the silhouettes.

There is absolutely nothing that compares to these fiery sunsets, and for you to send one from Louisiana is most wonderful for me!! It touches my heart with memories. I love the grasses in the front and the tiny whisps of clouds crossing the sun. A fantastic shot Pat..thank you so much. I would love to do a painting of it!! I can't seem to paint right now, do they have "painters block?!" lol...but soon I hope I can get back to it again. Verena
"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne
Keep five yards from a carriage, ten yards from a horse, and a hundred yards from an elephant; but the distance one should keep from a wicked man cannot be measured.
