NOTICE: THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE. Caught this little guy during my trip to the wildlife refuge. The oil spill seems to be staying away from my area. Don't know what kind of bird this is. Got him with the Canon 50D and the Canon 100-400mm from a looooooooong way off.

Your talent for a good capture along with the camera equipment you use did an excellent capture of this birdie. Not sure what kind it is but it's a very well taken and presented bird image. That whole oil mess down your way is so terrible. I do hope it stays away from your area. We never learn do we?

Clinging on for dear life, I would say! Very nice and clear shot Pat. I read in the papers today that the oil spill is much higher than what has been assumed till now.

I think it is a Spinch. Part Sparrow and Finch Owd Momma. You start getting that accurate with shooting from that far off and no one is safe. It is very good.
I too hope the oil spill doesn't affect the coast too much.
