Mini Series: Trouble Brewing! I went to my local wildlife preserve several days ago and I was busy shooting birds and not paying attention to what was going on not so far away. Then, suddenly I spotted this huge grass fire. It seemed to be in the direction of the road that I had used to drive into the preserve. Maaaaaaaybeeeee I had better pack up my camera and head over that way to make sure I will be able to get back out of here...................

Love the layering and contrasting colors here. There really is
alot going on. Way to take news and turn it into art.

An old swamp rat like you should be okay, Owd Momma. I like the patches of grass among the water. No wonder the fowl like it.
You better goose yourself and get outta there.

That's alot of smoke & I know it doesn't take much time for a grass fire to get out of control ... hopefully this fire was a controlled one. Love the layers of blue water & golden grass ... makes a pleasant contrast. Wonderful capture Pat.

A nice view (in spite of the smoke) with the two trees in front. Could have been a cigarette thrown from a passing car!

it's hard to visualize these grass islets on fire. Checking your exit is a good idea. I love the smoke.

Yikes! What an interesting contrast - with the beauty and peace of the blue water and light gold of the grasses and then the ominous smoke and flames in the distance. Your narrative makes it even better! Obviously, since you were able to post this shot, we can assume you made it out safely... :)

Fantastic! Breathtaking action and drama and we ride along with PatAndre on "Adventures in Photography!" :)

All kidding aside, this is an impressive image, Pat, and beautifully composed. The contrast between the bright blue water and dry grass is very nice. And, of course, the wildfire provides a dramatic element to this scene. Great shot!
