NOTICE: THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE. This is a little lake about 60 miles from where I live called Cypress Lake. I have lived around here for over 40 years and just recently discovered it thanks to someone telling me about it. You can drive around the perimeter of it and shoot from your car window until you are dizzy or your camera explodes. You'll be seeing a lot of shots from this lake. Canon 7D with Canon 20mm f/2.8. About the lens-a somewhat recent acquirement from B&H. I told them I wanted a good prime landscape lens and asked what they recommended. This was it. Not that expensive either. Richie...pounce! I won't pounce Pat,Other than to grab this wonderful image..It just about has it all.Foreground,Sharpness but not too much,Colour so natural and a sky that has no blown highlights..A good buy,In the right hands of course...R.

A great shot Owd Momma. I hope they don't try to start up the boat before the put it in the water. Great view and I look forward to more. Looks like a retirement lake because it is so calm and serene.

Lovely image. Down my way we don't coddle our boats, keep 'em in the water I say, or next thing you know they'll want to be sleeping on the couch and hogging the remote. :)

Good lens!...I have been using a Nikon D700 with a 20mm (A Loan of) and the are so sharp. they will cut you with one look!..

A great shot, Pat, and excellent post-work! This is a wonderful scene that looks as if you're standing right there behind the dock. I always wondered what they used those flat-bottomed boats for. Now the flat bottom make perfect sense. :)

O Wow.. what a beautiful and interesting place! The capture is very well done too and great work with the HDR sometimes photographs lose their natural look with that but you did it just the right amount.
