Please view full screen.I had decided I wasn’t going to begin commenting or posting (regarding all the hoop-la) until today, the 24th. So, we begin. I’m glad we are somewhat back to “normal”. I won’t be posting a whole lot of images simply because I don’t have a whole lot in reserve. It has been 100 degree F heat here almost everyday for several months and I am not going out in that kind of weather. With the c-index gone I feel a little more free to critique in more detail and I hope you feel the same way. “Nice picture” is not the kind of comments I want or need. If there is something you don’t like about one of my images then by cracky say so. If it is really a rough comment then pm or email it to me. So, off we go……..with an image from the bayou.

Hello Pat, It is always nice to see an image from you, and I don't blame you one bit regarding the heat.

Now for this image? Well in my honest opinion, I like the sharpness, clarity, and composition and the array of colors, so in my book it is beautiful image. ♥♥tigs=^..^=

Nice to see you back Owd Momma. Looks like the dock would be a good place to sort things out if there was a problem.
The shot is a little light for my tastes, but most folks say mine are too dark. I added a little contrast to this and liked it better.
Good post.

Where we are it is so hot that everyone stays in during the day. I can understand what this weather does to people. We have extreme heat warnings that say to stay inside. Anyway, this porch looks like a place to sit when the sun goes down. It's lovely to look at and will be even better 3 months from now. The reflection of the greenery in the water is very nice as is the texture of the various kinds of wood.

Unusual and pleasant scene. I like this and your HDR work is quite good. I like the colors it brought out. We eare anticipating a hurricane right now. First it was a tornado, then the earthquake and now a hurricane. I think it's time to repent!

The colors and details are great Pat. The only bad thing I could say is that it seems to tilt a little to the right. Great capture and I am glad to see you back.

By Cracky yer back....The composition 'could' have been better...that tree with the small notice...it is right in front of what could have been a 'Cracky' of a shot!...Maybe moving a tad to your left might have made 'both' seats into a better view! .. But I understand that, that would have brought the other tree in front of the left seat!...

Maybe a vertical shot slightly closer, 'framed' by those same trees?...

However, it is damn good and has several 'opportunities'!

---Nice picture” is not the kind of comments I want or need---

You don't make it easy for us Momma. Therefore this 'stupid' comment: refering to the 'Owd Mucker's' comment above, think the best solution would have been a 'chain saw' in order to remove the disturbing right tree. You will agree with me that it has no longer a function because the attached small sign can't be read anymore.

Nice picture though, Pat, lol!!!

Regards, Cornelius.

A beautiful spot with great color! The further out area toward the top is a bit unfocused to me though. Looks rough. Is that what you wanted to hear?...lol...Really a great shot Pat!
