What a contrast-the ultra modern(grocery cart)rolls up to the “old and out of the past” (horse and buggy).

Yes you are right it should have been a home made wooden cart! The contrast is well shown here.

Certainly surprised by what I see in this image. I was always under the impression that the Amish were self sufficent and lived off the land. I see two or three gallons of what appears to be milk
can't belive they don't have their own cows.

Bet I'd be even more shocked to see whats in those bags.
Thanks for sharing this lesson on the Amish Pat.

Great shot and the 3 jugs EJ's talking about, they look like cooking oil or OJ to me

It's good to see the progress of the Amish Pat, I think they've got three large containers of orange juice in the shopping. Thanks for poking your neck out, and photographing these private people.

Thanks for another fine image in a ditto series, Momma.

Refering to some comments above, think that your photography has changed the opinion of some people about the Amish somewhat (think in both a postive and a negative way).
Your series is anyhow very interesting to me. Thanks for sharing, Pat!

Regards, Cornelius.

Oh goodness they use plastic:( I use cloth because I believe in saving the earth for our future generation!! That may be the reason I've stayed married so long because I believe in fixing what's broken instead of throwing it away! Another outstanding shot Momma you sly fox:)
