I don't know what is going on here. I passed by this place in the Amish countryside and saw all these clothes hanging as you see here. Are they for sale? I don't think so. Amish Mothers make all their own family's clothes. Are they drying? The family dog knows, but he is not saying!

They are airing out their laundry, Owd Momma. Even Amish have stories to tell. :)
Cool shot.

Think Amish don't sell their clothes to the non believing 'English', Momma, so I like to agree with the other commenters above who do suppose that they are there for either drying or airing.

Thanks for another nice capture in this wonderful series, Pat.

Regards, Cornelius.

... depending on the Ordnung that they belong to, this may have been their one day that week that they could do laundry! So, you had a 1 in 7 chance in a week to catch such a shot. :) Most of the ones that live around us use Monday to do their laundry and hang it out to dry

The funny thing about this picture is the dog staring at you... usually it's the "English" that are staring at the Amish... seems like the dog is giving you some of your own treatment! :) :) :) Nice capture

This works perfectly for me. I only wear long dresses one day a week. I have to keep it real.

I bet they're just airing the clothing out. It looks like summer clothes and they probably had been stored through the winter months. Great shot Pat!!!

Another beautiful shot, Pat. Very colorful and vivid. I think they are only airing the clothes.

If it was not in the house, I would have thought they are selling them. But when they are like this, I am sure they are airing them. Very lovely and pretty scene. I love the little doggy very much.

A mystery for sure but a most unique image.
My guess is they are painting the wardrobe!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
