This is not far from where I live. There is a long standing rumor that a fearsome boogie man lives back in the swamp behind this woods. I mean, look at those tree branches. They look like they are ready to reach out and grab you by the neck. Oh ca'mon, walk on back in there and let me know if the tale is true. (special effects can only be seen full screen)

There is no boogie man there. It is an old trapper who is tired of hunting bears in the icy north. That tree is reaching across to the ones on the opposite side as a sign of friendship. Nice find and capture Momma.

If I did not know about the tale, I would find this interesting and inviting for some photo opts. Pat, I really like the work you did on this one. I like how Raj, described his thought about friendship.

This is a masterpiece, Pat. I'm not sure if that is Fractalius you used or not, but it turned out great. I don't know about a boogie man, but in the lower right corner...right above the bright green grass and next to the four tree trunks, is a man's head...a brawny lad he looks to be, too.....but what happened to the rest of his body? Maybe the tree branches grabbed him by the neck and yanked a little too hard! lol. Awesome image, Pat.

biffobear - I love Evil Dead 2, it's one of my top 10 movies. Who would've guessed? They're making a new series based on it, called Ash vs Evil Dead, and Bruce Campbell will be back with his boomstick to kill all the new deadites. And you're right, this great manipulation has some of the creepy energy of that masterpiece. Which is a good thing, and this shot is transformed into something amazing. Perfect use of this effect.

Thats a masterpiece Pat. Nice work indeed
I am not afraid of the boogie man though - just the other creatures living in the swamp ll

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Interesting stylized effects add to eeriness of the area. Maybe it's just a swamp ape or Bigfoot back there. I wouldn't want to go there in the dark. Nice job.
