As I'm sure everyone knows who lives here in the states, Louisiana really got plastered with rain, especially the northern half-14 to 21 inches in some places. There are so many roads closed they ran out of barricades. The Toledo Bend Reservoir flood gates had to be opened and it was said it had more water pouring out of it than Niagara Falls. many homes have been trashed. I live in the south-western portion of the state and we pretty much escaped any serious rain-just 3 inches over two days. We can handle that with no problem. But, what goes up must come down and that may cause trouble in my area long about Monday or so when the flood waters wash down state. I sat in my driveway and snapped the sunset that took place tonight. I have around 4 pics to post. Sunsets are always pretty after storms. This one is looking east and capturing the color bouncing off the eastern clouds.
