Well, I drove over to the pontoon bridge located near me to see how bad the flooding was. There are very few pontoon bridges left in the country and I just happen to have one close to me. I knew it was closed. I did not expect to be able to get close enough to even view the bridge but as you can see the flooding was not too bad at this time, even though the boat ramp on the left side is under water. The state police had the ramps raised. There have been times when the water was a half mile back down the road or even one time when the water was almost to the top of the structure if you can imagine that. I wanted to shoot the other side so I drove the five miles east into town to take a back road west out of town to get to the other side. But, I didn't make it past the local ice cream shop. Thorry! (Please view full screen.) Here is a link to another image of the bridge I posted some time back. PONTOON

Bob, I did post a picture of this bridge. It's on page 37 of my gallery and it is titled, "Pontoon Bridge". I can't make links. Would someone message me and tell me how?

Here is a link to Pontoon Bridge.
The Red Light District looks better in New Orleans Owd Momma.
Just one man's opinion.

Momma, in my childhood I've experienced the North Sea Flood of 1953 (please check-out the last link of this narrative). I can remember
this disaster up till now very well. Therefore your series is to a certain extent touching to me. I can almost feel the tension.
Hope that the water won't rise any further.
Thanks for your appropriate image!

There is no mistaking the big red circles. See that the water level is not so high. I liked the pontoon bridge (link) too.

I wondered about the title, Lol! Good shot of the scene, and I enjoyed the link to the other one as well, which I had commented on back in the day. I hope things calm down for all of the people that are suffering from the heavy rains. tigs=^..^=
