Your framing of the sunset with the vegetation silhouette is quite nice. Good photo!

Very nice shot Paul. I think a crop from the left to remove the vegetation would make a more affective composition. Beautiful color and nice silhouette:-)

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

This is gorgeous. It's one of the finest sunset images I've seen recently. Now I'm going to go out on a limb here, because Mayne's images and aesthetic sense kicks my butt, but I will disagree with his thought about cropping the vegetation on the left. I feel that it would move the subject out of the center of the image or it would force you to remove the tree-trunk on the right which is an essential part of the image, to my mind. Finally I feel that it provides an interesting balance to the tree-trunk frame on the right, though it might look better if it were somehow attached to the image better. I don't know if another trunk would look good there, though. It might be too much.

Thanks everyone for your comments, that is exactly why I like this site so much. We are all but amatures, and no single photo on this site is perfect, altough some come real close. But that is why it is so interesting, we can all study each others work, comment and learn from it. Concerning this photo: the shot contains plenty of other subjects which I cropped away to my liking. There was for example a wall below the picture. So what is left here is my personal preference. But still I am always open for anyones "constructive" comments.

Oh my, the sun is getting wet!!! What a sunset you have captured for us to see Paul. The arch of the right palm frond is what makes this image more spectacular. As for the frond on the left, I think removing it would then leave the frond hanging on the top left..sort of unattached! Into my fav's on my h/d for the cold days still ahead! Thanks :))

The composition and the way you have framed this picture is fantastic. The colours of the sunset, and the moment you chose to take this photo are perfect. I take the odd sunset picture occasionally but none come close to this! 10/10 & download
