For those of you who like a happy colourful desktop. It's just a pitty that the music is missing. Barrel-organs are very popular in Holland and on a good day (no rain) you are likely to first hear and then see one in the cities. Enjoy!

That is so unique and pretty Paul!! I remember when Iwas livingin Germany, my grandfather and I would walk around Berlin...and at all sorts of places there would be this lovely music!! Most parks had music or carousels or carnivals...its a time I've never forgotten. He and I would even walk with our umbrellas in the rain to go hear it. How delightful that you have them too and posted this. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful image.. Very well kept.. I can see it is loved.. I would love to hear the music.. How sad this kind of thing has been lost in this country.. Sent to museums, never to make lovely music again...

When the white man discovered this country Indians were running it. No taxes no debt, women did all the work White man thought he could improve on a system like this.

You know Paul; when I lived in the old city centre of Delft, an organ like this one started to play every saterday morning at 10:00 right befor my very bedroom. I'm not an early riser, so that felt like it was in the middle of the night. Anyway, a very nice close-up.

I too remember things like this when I was stationed in Germany in the early '70s. Thanks for bringing back some pleasant memories. It's on my desktop and in my favorites. ;-)
