Very nice shot, the colors in the background look great with the eagle, I've never been so close up to the face of an eagle and the detail you've captured in the beak! Great job!
Oh Paul...how in the world did yu do this?? I mean this is magnificient! I have saved it and will love looking at him on my screen! the colouring and shading is so good. on the thumbnail he looks sleepy...but when its enlarged its fantastic..thank you so much my friend.
Paul, here is a good view of the business end of an eagle, that is well done.
I just voted on it in the random voting and gave it very high marks. It goes on my laptops desk top for a week.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling; “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hoi Paul
Hoi Paul,
Perfect portrait. I simply love the lights around the eyes and the mouth ..oops! bill of course. The face has something human about it anyway ... Congratulations.
You've really turned this into a wonderful photo illustration! Amazing clarity around the beak and an excellent choice of background color in accentuating his natural colors.
