Good work with the lense Paul. You have nicely balanced the sky contrast and taken out the natural colors to the top.

This is such a unique photo Paul...may I ask what it is? We have windbreakers like that up here...but none made of posts like that...please tell us ok? I like the distant trees aNd the clouds and then that "subtle X"..in the sky..nice work my friend!!

Thanks to all the big supporter above!
Yes this is what you would call a windbreak. It is a vantage point and a very windy one. So people like to stare at the 360 degree view of the horizon and take shelter or climb these wooden poles. In the golden field in the distance breeds a pair of "kiekendieven", freely translated duckling thieves. They are big birds of prey and can often be seen from this point.
Thanks for your unrelenting interest!

I knew it was yours right the moment I spotted it in the new images gallery. Outstanding work, Paul. First of all I like the concept behind the image, it seems so simple and interesting at the same time. Then comes the composition which is strong point here. As if the windbreak was to separate the world into two halves: the green and the golden one.

A superb image. The object itself looks unusual and the composition works well.
