Hi Paul, WOW, this flower is magnigicent, positively lovely! Just think of bright yellow, with purple and greens, how can you possibly beat that combination! You did great my friend, quite up to your standards it is, I am positive! You know what I am especially fond of here, is the slight angle of the face of the flower turning aside and appears to be looking down! A rather dramatic version and I guess that always lends it's interest too Sir Paul, don't you think? Also, I might add that with the upcoming Easter Season, purples and pinks always appeal to me! Seems so appropriate! Good and colorful work! Sincerely, Marilyn
Strange title for such a beautiful flower. Is this what the flower is called? Yes indeedie, a shrine to the art of flower capture. I think this is the sharpest flower capture I have seen lately. Even the "dandruff" on the pedals shows up. This is a living definition of "silk. Want to know what silk is? Look at this composition. Want to know what "silkyness" feels like? Look at this composition. What else can I say? 10/10?

I am going to add my 'well done' to the others above me Paul! The detail is breathtaking as well as the vivid color & clarity you put on my computer screen this morning :). Excellent job. Right into my favorite's folder on my hard drive. Thank you for posting this beauty! :~)
This is an excellent Image and I especially like your descriptive desription amazing to read :D But back to the Image I don't think you could have done better keep it up
Well if some one say that this pic is not sharp enough or dont have the required details in it I'am sure they are not half blind but completely blind :)) Well done friend.
Hey there my friend...I am afraid I am going to spoil your day with this image, and give you the ten points!...awesome capture, I dont think i can add to what those above have already said........so professional man!...............Bob
OH!!! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW..... this is perfect Paul.. perfect colour, perfect macro shot and perfect light... what more can I say its P E R F E C T !!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing I have to add is that another common name for this is Pasque Flower, probably because it blooms around Easter. Others have commented accurately on the outstanding quality of your image and I fully agree.
Paul, The image sharpness and detail is incredible. What camera and lens did you use? Is this all-digital or is it film, scanned into the computer and if this is the case, which scanner did you use?
This image is a 10x50 image. It went straight to my desktop and into my favorites gallery.
Thanks very much!!
