Taken by myself while crewing on a 55 foot Nicholson yacht cruising around the Greek islands. The shot was taken not longer after we sailed through a pretty heavy storm. The weather for the next week & a half was amazing, the first 4 days out were pretty hairy at times though. This was the first chance I had to get my camera out due too the bad weather. =)

No, 4 days MUCH worse than that (some pretty strong gale force winds & some serious waves too play in).
It was funny cos some of the crew had not sailed before so they spent most of the first 4 days cursing the idea of a "jolly around the Greek Islands on a half million pound yacht" & hiding in their bunks or throwing up over the sides between the huge breakers.
Those who had their sealegs were shattered because they had to do most of the work for the first 4 days, when the weather cleared we had a good day or two where we took it easy while the n00bs got made too do most of the work (It was all learning of course for them so good experience), so I worked on my tan & took more shots which I will upload when I can. =]

I think that was more down too my scanner/the photograph I scanned wasn't in the best of shape, I had too crop one of the edges as it was torn, must track down the neg & get it redeveloped one day.

Nice shot Paws_of_GT - we only made it to corfu and even then we were on ferries, not yachts - it must have been an awesome experience!

*clutches the mast tightly* What a thrill! Mustve been an extraordinary stormy adventure. Gotta love the spray & the tilt of the yacht's buoyancy.
