This is a Reupload, I randomised the clouds a bit more and did some other general fixes. You can view this image in my DeviantArt gallery its slightly larger at 3840px and is also available as a print if anyone at all is interested. Thanks for looking :)

The moon is a lot more defined than I'm used to seeing. Atmosphere does interfere.

It works nicely as an image. I think the stars could be better, from an artistic perspective as distinct to a realistic one, as the top is quite plain. I realise this contrasts with the detail in the scene below but there is still a large area of canvas available to add some touches in. The moon is very central but the composition works because the horizon is blurred with the atmosphere, lowering it. The slight tilt adds a little dynamic energy to the scene. Nice image.

My dream is to photograph the moon as it rises from a high-altitude place, so that you still get the orange tint of the atmosphere but with a great view.
This one comes pretty close to that: the clarity works here. Oh, and the clouds are perfect.
