This Coast Guard Station was used from the 1940 till 1976. It's been abandoned and falling apart ever since. The City of Cleveland purchased the property in 2003 and is in the process of completely restoring it to be used as an environmental station and museum. I didn't list this as a lighthouse because the tower is actually an observation deck. Thanks for any and all critical comments.

I have never spent much time along the water front in Cleveland, unless being at baseball games at the old stadium counts. LOL. Another great shot, Phil.

I think this is so cool. The Coast Guard is definatly unsung heros. I am glad something useful is being done with the property. You captured it so well. It had to be from the water.

Good shot and the narrative info is good too. I hope they do get it restored for the use stated. That would be great for folks to be able to use it and enjoy its history.
