I stopped by a pond to see what I could find to photograph. Suddenly I realized there was a heron not more than 10 feet from me, initially hidden by the bank. I couldn't focus quick enough, but I did catch his escape flight.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
That was a very good capture, Jeff. I find it hard to capture them in flight.

When fear comes to me I will stubbornly choose Faith Instead!!!!
Jeff, good result however, when taken into account the very difficult conditions. The bokeh at the background gives this image a dynamic touch, giving us the impression that the heron in flight has done a very quick take off.
