You might need to see this one full-screen as I wasn't able to get an angle that gave good contrast. Still, it is like most snakes. You don't notice them until you are almost upon them. (Lauritzen Gardens)

Snakes are sneaky to survive. If they don't sneak they don't eat. Naturally, they aren't after you but you are in their space so beware. But one this big puts you in a different position on the food chain. They might invite you to lunch. you did good on this, Jeff!

Jeff, I'm not a thief of my own eyes, so I watch every contribution at full screen size, so I agree with your narrative.

Wonderful capture of this floral/vegetable 'Boa Constrictor'. However, I've no fear now of getting swallowed by this Boa Constrictor, 😁 !
