There is a trail that crosses the length of Nebraska known as the Cowboy Trail. It follows an abandoned railroad right-of-way. We walked the trail at Long Pine where the trail crosses over Long Pine Creek. For those of you in hillier country, it might not seem as much, but for those who expect Nebraska to be flat, it is a startling beautiful valley.

Jeff, when I look at your beautiful photograph, in my imagination I can hear the steam whistle blowing from an old locomotive. Now this old railway has become a trail. Those who walk this trail aren't only treated to a beautiful view, but are also confronted with a piece of very interesting history.

If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins! Please CLICK HERE to see my journal! Feel free to save my images or to add them to your favorites.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Clear across Nebraska, eh? Judging by this pleasant elevated view I'm guessing that bikers must use it as much as hikers (with my feet it would have to be by bike). Thanks for the local interest information, Jeff.
