"Our generations rise and break like foam on shores. Yet death, at least in the West, apparently astonishes and blindsides every man-bubble of us every time." Annie Dillard(For the Time Being)
Paul, I grew up in a family with a maritime tradition (many of my family-members were, like me, seaman). I was taught from childhood that the sea should be treated with awe and respect, even though it showed a kind face in calm weather conditions. Following this advice in my later career has always benefited me. When you see your fine photograph, all this comes to the 'surface' (😁) again. Thank you for reviving these memories.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
