By accident I just happened to look out the window and this is what I saw. We don't have big spiders where I come from so this is quite a big one. Plus I haven't seen a spider like this before and I'm scared of them to death so it was a bit exciting to get close and take a picture. Oh, and that black heap used to be fly and is now dinner :) Enjoy.

Akkk. This is about the time of the year that these guys build webs on my side porch that I invariably walk straight into face first, followed by my exclusive "Wack at my face to get the spider off" dance. The neighbors love it :) Nice job man.

Well, this year I was determined they weren't going to take over the back deck and I bought myself a megafletch and have used it liberally. Great capture on this little monster :)

Creepy! An excellent shot of the critter... I have arachniphobia myself and this is just the kind of spider that really gets to me...so I'm glad she was outside your window and not mine! :-)))
