This room once held barrels of gun powder for the soldiers at Fort York, in Toronto. Empty now, it held only my fascination! Standing inside, its windowless hulk snuffed out the sounds I made as quickly as I made them. It was at once a crypt, and a fortress of calm.

This place certainly looks as a dark as a crypt Quiet. The way you have caught the darkness over powering the light is good. Very eerie shot, but good work.

It's better to have a living dog, than a dead lion.
Forget the c-index, this is a good picture. The light composition looks similiar to those seen in galleries. I can not complian about this one. The darkness brings out the light.

i like this image very much.can't say exactly why.seems to evoke a spiritual passage-a gradual awakening from despair to hope.that may sound far-fetched or old hat(light at the end of the tunnel etc.).i relate to it.best wishes-simon
