As the sun slipped into the sea, gilded clouds, like blooms afloat, drifted idly overhead.. just out of reach of the steady trade winds. I thought I might reach my hand up to coat it in the 24k rays that stretched ever towards me. But alas, taking only a picture, I checked my greed and left the sky its wealth.

May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your sorrows. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life. (An Apache Blessing)

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

This is a beauty of a scene and very well captured. The calm of the water in the foreground sets this off.Going to keep this one.!!

This shot is beautifully classic in appeal. Wonderful scene!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Very lovely, and I'm glad you decided to share the wealth with all of the rest of us :)

You have to dream, you have to have a vision, and you have to set a goal for yourself that might even scare you a little because sometimes that seems far beyond your reach. Then I think you have to develop a kind of resistance to rejection, and to the disappointments that are sure to come your way. Gregory Peck

Great shot!

I am delighted to see no digital noise (if taken by a digital camera) even at such lighting condition.

Great job.

Personally I feel that those who cannot 'feel' the beauty; cannot reproduce images. And you did a great job to make us feel that we were actually there with you while you took the frame.
