Distant clanging of the ship bells, and the evening croon of the seagulls echoed off these stilled waters as the sun slipped down. The calm belied the thrumming of life that filled the harbor only hours before. It is that magical time of night where all falls silent again, and the day is done.

I like it,a sweet sunset and dark colors as well as a bunch of boats and lights,nice photo,thanks.

The colors and the lack of grain add greatly to the appeal of this upload, but I'm afraid we're leaning to the left a bit? Maybe I'm just not seeing the horizon line in the correct fashion ...if so, just disregard that hopefully helpful comment :)

Yes it is a pesky problem of mine, this slanted horizon. Perhaps my head is slanted. Or my eyes are not parallel. Or maybe my view of things is skewed. Could be that I juts lean to the left! Rob tells me there is an easy way to fix this, software, but as of yet I've been too stubborn to try it. Perhaps in my next one :)

you always provide such an eye-opening narrative that i see what you see more often than not.in this case though i'm not in tune.very often i find the passing of a day wistfull and slightly melancholy.sharp,crisp and evocative picture though.best wishes,simon.
