The Lair (part 4)

At last! Its lair lies just ahead.
I feel its steamy plume
brush my face.
Flushed, my face
peers warily high, locking suddenly eye,
as I breach the outer room

He is still as I am, now,
And neither gaze departs.
Should I flee?
Would he flee?
Did I sense fear, as I drew near?
His or mine that drumming heart?

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

You need to put a warning on this one in case there are small children in the room!! j/k j/k....it certainly is a spooky one though.

wonderful and also very powerful-almost tribal-image.without question for me the best of an excellent series.faved of course.my first impression of this one was of a greek mask.the opening top left really has an intense "expression".i've said it before and i'll say it again-your work has LIFE.lovely range of earth tones too.your friend, simon.

I see the eye of the dragon beast in this but I know that there is more to this from your writings. This photo is really something.
