I really like the approach you used here, but I have to agree with sailorman. It's not hard and it would save all that water from running on to my desktop!!

I agree with you, but I don't know if you see that stones are horizontal and the sea runs on desktop (of phasmid). The goal was to create some lines who were not parallel.
I think you'ld still reach your goal if you leveled the water although I do find it humorous about PJ's desktop :D
I just subscribed to a photography magazine and they suggested to take 2 shots of images like this, one focused on the foreground and one on the background (using a tripod or something stable) then splice them together in Photoshop. It's a decent shot but I think it could use some more impact.
